Brett
Favre couldn't do it. Neither could the rest of the Braintrust's
Green Bay Connection. So, the Trust put it all on the back of first-round
pick Marshall Faulk. And he delivered. Boy did he deliver. In a year
that saw the Braintrust getting a lot of mileage from their receivers, it
was Faulk and Mike Alstott that handed them the WFA Championship over
the Fighting Amish 52-50. A down to the wire affair, the game was not
decided until the bitter end.
In the Consolation Game, the Chickadeez felt the wrath of RixPix to the
tune of 62-31.
With that, the WFA ends it's 2001 season. There were plenty of surprises,
and hopefully everyone had a good time and will be back in 2002.

2001 WFA Champs!
At
least it lived up to the hype.

Swami
blew it, but oddly, doesn't feel bad about the call. In fact, there's
a kind of calm. Swami does see good things ahead in the New Year, and wishes
everyone in the WFA a great 2002.

Finally,
after much weaselling and juggling of numbers, the WFA
Year-End Statement is up and ready for viewing. The boys at Dewey, Cheatem
and Howe really outdid themselves this year, but if you see something that
doesn't jibe, contact the Commish. The checks will go out this week, so check
your mailboxes everyday and accuse your mailman of theft if you don't see
it soon.
Faulk
shown here after one of his 4 touchdowns on the day. He sure looks happy.
Every
year is filled with players that explode as well as those that implode. Well,
Bubba Franks is here to tell you who were the 2001 season surprises, good
and bad.

Robinson's stiff back meant Booker got the bulk of the Bear's offense. Who knew
that was a good thing?
Naturally,
there are others boomers, including me, 14th Round Pick Bubba Franks, 10th
Round Pick Jerry Rice, 8th Round Pick Mike Alstott, and 10th Round Pick Kevin
Johnson, and plenty more busts, but we won't get into those at this point.
